Nicky Marsh & John Clayton
From his fabulous watercolours of birds to his stunning new range of elegant ladies, John Clayton continues to delight stitchers everywhere with his top class designs. "I was delighted to be a runner-up last year, and it makes a lovely change to be a winner this year," he tells us. With more additions in the pipeline for 2005, keep an eye on new designs from John Clayton at Heritage Stitchcraft.

RUNNER UP – Faye Whittaker
The talented designer behind the well-loved 'All Our Yesterdays' range, Faye Whittaker has proved once again that she's a cross stitching favourite! We're delighted that her charming scenes of Victorian children are as popular as ever, and we're sure her adorable new range from DMC, 'Molly Mop-Cap', will be just as big a hit!

After winning this category last year, Coats Crafts has done it again with the runaway success of 2005, Tatty Teddy. Tracey Whittington of Coats was delightede to accept the award. "It's an honour to win for a second year running. Let's hope it's a hat trick next year!"

RUNNER UP – 'Fun on the Bridge', Winnie the Pooh
The ever-popular Winnie the Pooh is a firm favourite with cross-stitchers the world over, and we're delighted that this adorable bear and pals from Designer Stitches have made it into The Craft & Stitching Awards 2005.

RUNNER UP – 'London', All Our Yesterdays
Congratulations to Faye Whittaker and DMC for being a runner up in this category. Her famous design, 'London', with its iconic buildings and delightful Victorian children has proved to be a winner in this year's awards.

What a deserving winner! Stitchers across the country voted for the Chart Stand as their favourite this year. Ron Wallace-Cunningham, who runs the company with wife Olive, was thrilled: "We're delighted that our product has been so well received by the voters. Thank you for voting!"

Run by Jayne Hall, www.jaynesattic.co.uk is a real gem of a website, even featuring its own chat forum. From carefully selected cross stitch kits to beautifulky hand-crafted earrings, you'll enjoy browsing this site.

OVERALL WINNER

Nicky Marsh & Robert Main
Well done to Robert Main and the team at RM Hobbies for winning the much sought-after Retailer of the Year award! Having been nominated as runner-up for Scotland last year, this year, RM Hobbies pulled out all the stops. "We were overwhelmed to win. It's a great achievement, and shows we have a great customer base who were all rooting for us."

North East Leven Crafts
Stan and Beryl Frank from Leven Crafts take home the award for the North East for the third year running. They were delighted to win this well-deserved accolade. "It's really nice to know that we are appreciated by our customers," says Stan. Congratulations both of you!
North West The Black Sheep
The Black Sheep's fantastic service has paid off again, winning them this award for the second year running. Mike Reid of The Black Sheep had this to say: "We are absolutely delighted to have won and feel it reflects our commitment to fantastic products and prices, and our very helpful staff for whom nothing is too much trouble!"
Midlands Wye Needlecraft
Winning the award for top retailer in the Midlands, Wye Needlecraft is back again! The shop enjoys immense popularity with both local customers and stitchers further afield, keeping it at the top for the fifth year running. "I'd like to say a big thank you to our customers and staff," says Wye Needlecraft owner Dean Goodings.
East Anglia Bears & Stitches
Bears & Stitches won the award for East Anglia after winning a great share of the votes from their loyal customer base. Pauline and Avril, who run the store, were over the moon. Pauline tells us: "Were just a small shop so we were really surprised and thrilled to win this award again!"
Wales Criss X Stitches
We have a brand new winner in this category - Criss X Stitches takes the award for Wales this year. Owners, Keith and Margaret Lathwell, were thrilled to win the title, which came as a big surprise. "We've been running the shop less than three years," Keith tells us, "and we're very pleased that our efforts have been appreciated by our customers."
South East Country Cross Stitcher
Congratulations to Rosemary Sharman and her son, Mark, of the Country Cross Stitcher! Having been winners four times before, Mark tells us: "We're naturally delighted to win again. It was totally unexpected and we'd like to thank the readers and our customers for taking the time to vote."
South West Needlecraft Emporium
Winners of the South West award for the third year in a row, Wendy Tate was delighted to hear she'd won in 2005. "It's excellent news, and we're absolutely ecstatic to win again," she says. "A big thank you to all our customers who voted for us."
