Buried treasure...

I’ve just moved house and whilst I was clearing out the garage, I found an old tin packed with left-over threads, beads and charms. It was like finding buried treasure!

Inside was my favourite pincushion that I stitched on canvas using jewel shades of perle thread. There were old packs of needles, a small pair of stork scissors with decorative handles and loads of jumbled threads. You can guess what I was doing over the weekend!
I’m just thinking about starting to make my Christmas cards. As I’m an addicted cardmaker (you can also visit my blog on www.cardmakingandpapercraft.com. I enjoy making every single card so I have to start early! Tell me, what are your favourite themes for your Christmas cards? Nativity, traditional, scenes, cute and cuddly, angels, bells, penguins or perhaps something I haven’t thought of. Last year I made over 100 handmade Christmas cards. I stitched some for special family and friends and made others using cardmaking techniques. If you can beat over 100 handmade cards, add a comment to my blog and reveal all! I have a gift bag of stitching goodies for my favourite comment of the week!

Well, i've not made 100 cards because i suffer from back pains so i simply couldn't make that many! also don't have that many people that i give cards to. But i have been stitching hard in the past 2 weeks and have managed to do 3 small designs and a 4th is in the pipeline. If you'd like some pictures of them, email me and I'll send them to you. One is a small sampler with a coffee mug and witty saying for my mum, one's a blackwork butterfly on evenweave for my sister, one's a football crazy piece for my brother, and i've just started a little suzy's zoo sampler for my neice! Good luck on your cards this year!

I am addicted to making Christmas cards and make them all year round in both Cross Stitch, Embroidery, Wool and Paper. People think I am crazy when they see me making cards in July when most are still thinking about their summer hols!
