Sorry going to post a lot to get the spammers down as the forum don't seem to care.

So which threads do you like dmc or anchor. I have always used anchor as it was the only threads which my craft shop had and never changed.

I prefer dmc and over the years have managed to buy the whole color range , got a few anchor and will use them for smaller projects .I did buy the ones from the poundshop as well but dont use them that often

I use a mixture between DMC and Sullivans. Its mainly due to cost for me, although I do prefer DMC you can notice the difference in the feel of the thread.

I normally use dmc but will use either. One of my projects i am doing i am using all dmc except for one thread as fmc had discontinued that colour and the next nearest in shade is already in it so i looked up the conversion and got the colour in the anchor range instead.

I have only ever used DMC but I am looking at a pattern that calls for Anchor. I am anxious to try something different.

I mostly use Madeira threads, thats what comes in the bothy kits.
But the project I want to get done is my photo conversion of my late fur baby, it's the photo stitch by dmc. So I'm collecting the dmc threads for her. Managed to get quite a few for it now but going to try lakeside I think for the rest. Sooo excited.

I have a full set of DMC so mainly use them. If I hav3 done kits of Anchor I keep the leftover thread on bobbins so I do hav3 some anchor but not a lot.

DMC threads have been my favourite for a while now just because of the colour ranges and I've never had any problems with them. So interesting to read about peoples experiences though and how different the two are. :)

We created our first pattern for our Etsy shop with them though so I'm biased
