How to make a pinboard

Stitch this tropical leaves chart from issue 264 (Feb 2018) of The World of Cross Stitching, on sale 28th December, then follow the instructions below to make your very own pinboard for the kitchen!

1 Once you've finished stitching your tropical leaves design, trim the fabric with a 6 square border, measuring carefully to the size of your pinboard.

2 Give your stitching a decorative edge using a pair of tweezers. Gently ease away a five aida blocks to fray a neat border. Back it with white paper to prevent show through.

3 Use double-sided tape to layer your design onto the board, lining up the edges for a really neat finish. Or wrap the stitching around the sides of the board and secure with double-sided tape or pins.

4 Hang your board in the kitchen and pin postcards, 'to-do' lists and pictures!
