How to make a pretty scissor fob

Trim your stitched piece so that it measures 5.5cm (2¼in) square (we used one of the designs from the ‘Vintage Sewing Set’ from issue 219 of The World of Cross Stitching). Cut a piece of backing fabric to match.

Cut a piece of ribbon the required length and tack in place to the right side of the stitched piece at the corner.

Place the right sides of the stitched piece together with backing fabric and ribbon sandwiched in-between. Stitch all the way around, leaving a small gap to turn through.

Turn through and fill the fob with wadding, then stitch the gap closed.

Attach to your scissors with the ribbon.
