Make these fun ABC blocks!

Follow these simple step-by-step instructions to make up your stitching into these sweet ABC blocks for baby's nursery. Ours are made using the cute ABC charts from issue 194 of Cross Stitch Crazy, but you could easily use a different ABC!

Step 1:  Once you've finished stitching your letter, trim the aida to 12x12cm.

Step 2:  Next, cut five pieces of coordinating cotton fabric measuring 12x12cm.

Step 3:  Sew one side of four of the fabric squares to each edge of the aida (right sides together) to make a cross shape when laid flat.

Step 4:  Keeping the square inside out, sew the sides of each of the coloured fabric pieces together so all squares are attached apart from the back square.

Step 5:  With the square inside out and right sides together, attach the back square to each of the four sides leaving a gap of 5cm for turning through.

Step 6:  Turn through, fill with wadding and sew the gap closed.
